Export: data becomes a file: The whole list is written into one CSV or Excel file that other software can open, edit, and archive.

Import: a file becomes records: Pick a file in the right format and each row becomes a record. Confirm the headers match your fields first.

It is an extra feature: CRUD works record by record; import and export move whole batches. Tell the AI whether this round includes them so the tool does not balloon.
