CRUD is the four basic operations repeatedly performed on one kind of data: create, read, update, and delete.For a client quote list: tapping "new" adds a quote (create), opening the list shows every record (read), changing an amount or status is an update, and removing a record is a delete. These four cover the backbone of managing data; exports and charts are extra features built on top, not one of the four.

What each word covers

Create and Read: Create adds a record: fill in client and amount, save, and a new row appears. Read shows the records: list and detail pages are reads, and so are filtering and searching.

Update: Change information in an existing record. Editing amount or status updates; it creates no new record.

Delete: Remove a record. Deletion usually deserves a confirmation because it is often irreversible.
