When the quote list opens, show the newest on top, and let me tap the amount column to sort by size.
Sorting puts a list in order by one field—newest first, or largest amount first—without removing a single record.A quote list can default to newest first, and tapping the amount header flips to largest first. Sorting and filtering partner in opposite directions: filtering hides non-matching records and shortens the list, while sorting keeps every record and only reorders. Telling an AI "sort by creation time descending" beats "put the new ones on top."

Sorting only reorders—all three records stayFiltering hides records and shortens the list; sorting loses none.
What sorting and filtering each cover
Ascending and descending: Ascending goes small to large (1, 2, 3); descending goes large to small (3, 2, 1). "Newest on top" is creation time descending.
State the default sort: The order on open is the default sort. Specifying "newest by creation time" keeps the AI from picking an arbitrary alphabetical order.

Make the amount column clickable to toggle largest-first and smallest-first, leaving other columns alone. After the change, I will tap the amount header on mobile to confirm the order changes while the record count stays the same.
