Fine-tuning
Support replies keep changing tone and format. Should we train a model?
Teaching example: the team names a concrete difference—the reply should state the outcome before the next step.
Examples show the target behavior: Representative inputs and target outputs provide examples for further training. There is no single sample count that fits every model and task.
Evaluate on new inputs: Training examples do not prove that new requests will work. Keep tickets outside the training set and compare correctness, format, and tone.
You can say this to an AI Agent
Do not start training yet. First use real support tickets and target replies to improve the prompt, then check tone and format on a separate set of tickets. If it is still inconsistent, explain what data fine-tuning would use, how you would evaluate it, and what it cannot guarantee.
