Entitlement
A user bought a Pro subscription; how should the backend check if they can access this export feature?
Free has one generation remaining but no HD export. Feature access and remaining usage are separate checks.
Features require an entitlement: HD export is an entitlement an account either has or lacks. Authorization also checks roles and resource ownership; Pro does not grant access to someone else’s private files.
Limits include the requested addition: With four of five seats occupied, one more member fits; at five of five, another must be rejected. The server checks current usage plus the requested addition and updates atomically so concurrent requests cannot claim the same allowance.
Sync changes to the access check: A billing provider can notify the application through a Webhook; the application verifies it and updates access. Notifications can be delayed or repeated, requiring retries and reconciliation. Expiration, refunds and downgrades follow the product’s effective dates and refund policy.
You can say this to an AI Agent
A paid upgrade still cannot export HD images. Trace the entitlement notification, server record and export endpoint to locate the missing update. Verify pending sync, active access and exhausted allowance after the fix.
